Samantha Martin, MSW RSW

Registered Social Worker + Psychotherapist

Founder + Clinical Director

Hi, I’m Samantha (she/her) — therapist, mom of two, and founder of Full Circle Psychotherapy in Fergus.

I genuinely love what I do. There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching people move from simply surviving to actually feeling like themselves again.

If you’re caught in anxiety spirals, carrying the invisible mental load, or wondering why everyone else seems to have life figured out (spoiler: they don’t), you’re in good company.

I’m passionate about supporting people through the transition to parenthood. Whether you’re trying to conceive, navigating fertility treatments, pregnant, adjusting to life postpartum, or simply wondering where you went after becoming a parent (because everyone keeps asking how the baby’s sleeping, but no one asks how you’re doing), this season can be overwhelming. You deserve support that’s focused on you, too.

As both a therapist and a mom, I know that becoming a parent can be one of life’s most meaningful—and most challenging—transitions. I’m Canadian Certified in Perinatal Mental Health (CC-PMH) and provide evidence-based support for adults (18+) navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and every stage of the perinatal journey.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, and Self-Compassion. Whether you’re looking for practical strategies, a space to process, or a little of both, we’ll build a plan that feels right for you.

Outside the office, you’ll usually find me hiking a trail, practicing what I preach at the gym, or building “one more” Lego creation with my kiddos.

I’d love to meet you. Book a free, no-obligation 15-minute consultation, and let’s see if we’re a good fit.

My Full Circle Story
Therapist in Fergus supporting parents and postpartum moms

As cheesy as it may sound, this practice truly is a labour of love — and the epitome of a full circle moment.

My career began in geriatrics, working demanding agency roles during the day while seeing therapy clients in the evenings at a busy group practice. In my early 20s, the pace felt exciting. I loved the challenge, the movement, the feeling of building something meaningful. The long days felt invigorating — for a while.

Then I became a parent, and suddenly the life I had built no longer fit in the same way. I found myself craving something slower, more intentional, and more connected to the kind of life I actually wanted to live. I needed space to breathe. I needed work that aligned not only with my professional values, but with who I was becoming personally.

That shift led me toward supporting parents and parents-to-be — people navigating some of the most vulnerable, identity-shifting seasons of life. It also meant relocating my office closer to home and creating a practice that felt warm, grounded, and human. I wanted a space where people could exhale a little when they walked through the door.

And then, by complete coincidence (or maybe not), I found the very office space my midwives once called home. The moment I walked in, everything clicked. It felt symbolic in a way that’s hard to explain — like all the pieces of my personal and professional life had quietly been leading me here.

That’s where the name Full Circle Psychotherapy came from. A coming home to myself, my community, and the work that I love to do.
